彭蒙惠(Dr. Doris Brougham)教育獎學金簡章
財團法人台北市基督教救世傳播協會
一、依據
依財團法人台北市基督教救世傳播協會第六十六次董事會議所通過之第三案「彭蒙惠(Dr. Doris
Brougham)教育獎學金案」訂定,該案業已報請政府主管機關核備。
二、申請資格
本教育獎學金之申請資格如下:
(一)申請時仍就讀於台澎金馬地區學校之在學學生;
(二)九十八學年度第一學期在校成績達下列標準,但曾於同一組別獲頒本教育獎學金者不得提出申請:
1、國中 組:英文成績名列該校同年級前三名。
2、高中(職)組:英文成績名列該校同年級前三名,操行甲等以上。
3、大專 組:限「大眾傳播」或「英文」相關科系,學業總平均分數80 分以上,操行甲等以上。
4、研究所組:限「大眾傳播」或「英文」相關研究所,學業總平均分數80 分以上,操行甲等以上。
三、獎助名額及金額
各組別之獎助名額及金額如下,但本會得視情況調整之,實際獎助名額以得獎公佈名單為主:
1、國中 組:共 40 名,每名獎助金額參仟元整。
2、高中(職)組:共40 名,每名獎助金額伍仟元整。
3、大專 組:共 30 名,每名獎助金額捌仟元整。
4、研究所組:共 4 名,每名獎助金額貳萬元整。
四、申請文件(恕不退件,請自行拷貝留底)
1、申請表一份 (申請人可自行至本會StudioClassroom.com 網站下載申請表,亦可至學校課外組
及本會全省各門市領取或附回郵信封寄本會索取)。
2、申請表上須加蓋校印(國高中組可以教務處戳章代替)。
3、殘障生另附殘障手冊影印本,清寒生另附區公所清寒證明。
4、學生證影印本一份 (或在學證明書一份)。
5、九十八學年度第一學期成績單影印本。
6、英文自傳(限600 字以內)一份。
7、老師英文推薦函一份。
8、最近二吋相片一張 (請黏貼於申請表內)。
9、國中組與高中職組請附英文成績為同年級前三名之證明文件。
10、研究所組請附最近相關研究報告影印本一份。
11、將上列文件依序訂妥後,於信封註明組別 (未註明組別者、證件不齊者不予受理),寄
「彭蒙惠教育獎學金」管理委員會收,地址:10462 台北市大直街62 巷10 號。
五、申請期限
即日起至九十九年三月三十一日止,以郵戳為憑,逾期概不受理。
六、公告方式
錄取名單將在九十九年六月中旬於StudioClassroom.com 網站上,並於九十九年七月號「大
家說英語」、「空中英語教室」及「彭蒙惠英語Advanced」雜誌中公告。
凡經審查錄取之申請人,即以書面掛號通知申請人並說明獎學金發放方式(並不透過學校發
放),請於期限內回函確認,逾期視同放棄。本會將另以平信通知錄取人所屬學校。

七、審查辦法
1、由本會所組成之「彭蒙惠(Dr. Doris Brougham)教育獎學金」管理委員會審查之,評比相同時,
殘障生與清寒生優先錄取,不適者得不錄取,申請人對於審查結果不得異議。
2、管理委員會於必要時得約申請人面談。
3、本會將綜合全部申請文件包括英文自傳、老師英文推薦函、在學成績、研究報告、申請書及
其他審查文件及面談紀錄審查評比。
The Dr. Doris Brougham Scholarship
Overseas Radio & Television
I. Basis
In accordance with the third article of the resolutions passed during the 66th meeting of the Overseas
Radio & Television Board of Directors, the Dr. Doris Brougham Scholarship was established and has
already been submitted and approved by the relevant government agencies.
II. Qualifications for Application
In order to be considered for the Dr. Doris Brougham Scholarship, applicants must meet the following
requirements:
1. Applicants must be currently studying in a school located in the Taiwan / Penghu / Kinmen / Matsu
area. Students may not apply during the second semester of their graduating year.
2. Applicants' performance during the first semester of R.O.C. 98 school year must meet the following
requirements for their respective age group. Any previous scholarship recipient may not apply again
for the same age group:
A. Junior High School Group: English grade is ranked in the top three among all students of the
same year.
B. High School/Vocational School Group: English grade is ranked in the top three among all
students of the same year; score of 80 or above in personal conduct.
C. College Group: Mass Communication or English-related majors, overall GPA is 80 or above;
score of 80 or above in personal conduct.
D. Graduate School Group: Graduate students studying Mass Communication or English-related
majors, overall GPA is 80 or above; score of 80 or above in personal conduct.
III. Number of Recipients and Award Amount
Below are the number of recipients and the award amount for each age group. The scholarship
Management Committee reserves the right to make adjustments as necessary. The final number will be
confirmed by the announced list of award recipients.
1. Junior High School Group: 40 recipients total, NT$3,000 each.
2. High School/Vocational School Group: 40 recipients total, NT$5,000 each.
3. College Group: 30 recipients total, NT$8,000 each.
4. Graduate School Group: 4 recipients total, NT$20,000 each.
IV. Application Documents
1. The application forms can be downloaded from the StudioClassroom.com website, obtained at your
school's Activities Program Office or any Studio Classroom store or office around the island, or
requested by mail by sending us a self-addressed stamped envelope.
2. The application form must be stamped with the school's chop. Junior and high school applicants can
use the chop from the Dean's Office.
3. Handicapped students must include a photocopy of their handicap identification booklet.
Low-income household students must include an official recognition of low-income status from
their District Office.
4. One (1) photocopy of the applicant's student identification card (or a document certifying applicant's
status as a student at the school)
5. One (1) photocopy of the R.O.C. 98 school year first semester report card. Report cards must be
stamped with the school's chop.
6. Autobiography written in English. Maximum 600 words.
7. Teacher's recommendation letter written in English.
8. One (1) recent ID-sized photograph of the applicant (glued to the designated spot on the application
form.)
9. Junior High School, High School and Vocational School students must supply a document certifying
that their English score is ranked in the top three of their grade.
10. Graduate students must include a copy of a recent paper that they have written as part of their
studies.
11. Arrange all of the documents above in order and staple them together. Afterwards, note on the
envelope which group the applicant belongs to (Junior High School, High School, College, or
Graduate School). Application packets that are incomplete or whose envelopes do not have the
group designation clearly written will not be judged. Send the packet to the following address:

12. Note: Documents will not be returned, so please make copies for yourself.
V. Application Deadline
Applications must be postmarked on or before March 31, 2010. Applications postmarked after the
deadline will not be accepted.
VI. Award Announcement
1. Scholarship recipients will be announced in the middle of June on the StudioClassroom.com website
and in the July issues of Let's Talk in English, Studio Classroom and Advanced magazines.
2. Scholarship recipients will be notified by certified mail. Instructions for claiming the scholarship
will be provided in this letter. Schools will not be responsible for distributing scholarship awards.
Recipients must reply on or before the deadline to claim the scholarship, otherwise the award will be
forfeited. The recipient's school will also be notified of the scholarship award by regular mail. All

VII. Evaluation Process
1. Applications will be evaluated by the Dr. Doris Brougham Scholarship Management Committee. In
the event that multiple applications are equally qualified, preference will be given to handicapped or
low-income students. Applicants cannot raise objections to the final award list.
2. The Management Committee will arrange for an interview of the applicants if necessary.
3. The Scholarship Committee will compile and evaluate all required documents, including the English
self introduction, teacher's recommendation letter written in English, school transcripts, a research
paper, the application form, other submitted documents, plus the interview process. Decisions will
then be made accordingly.
